Tools to Help You Design Your Solution

Design-thinking is a useful problem-solving technique consisting of five steps:

  1. Empathize with the target population.

  2. Define and clarify the problem.

  3. Ideate and brainstorm efficient, feasible solutions.

  4. Prototype the product or service.

  5. Test the prototype on the target population.

During Ecothon, participants will use only the first three steps: Empathize, Define, and Ideate.

Participants who apply and are selected to join the Design Lab will progress through the Prototype and Test steps during the subsequent six months. See FAQs for details.
